The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, May 22 reveals Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will turn on Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will complain about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Plus, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will get it on. And Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will feel guilty for lying.
Y&R spoilers tease Patty and Matt Clark will hang out on a park bench. Matt will reel over what Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) did. “She’s not who I thought she was,” he’ll say. Matt will tell Patty he should leave town. “I can think of one good reason for you to stay,” Patty will say. “Me.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Lauren Advises Phyllis To Give Up The Company
Matt will ask if she’s flirting with him and she’ll giggle. Then she’ll offer to arrange passage for him out of town. But Matt will say he needs to be careful about who he aligns himself with. Plus, he just met her and doesn’t know if he can trust her.
Patty will say she’s not the monster she used to be. “Do you really think that I would just turn around and betray you?” Matt will ask why she’d help him escape if she wants to prove to this town that she’s a reformed person and he’ll take off.
Not surprisingly, Patty will be angry. “I could have got caught aiding and abetting,” she’ll say to herself. “And still, he walks out on me.” So she’ll call Victor. “I heard you were looking for someone named Matt Clark.”
Meanwhile, Phyllis will rush into her office and tell Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) that Matt Clark is gone. “What am I gonna do?” she’ll ask. Phyllis will tell Lauren what she did to Matt. “I was this close,” she’ll add. “That bitch Patty Williams, this is her fault.”
Phyllis will tell Lauren she knows if she can’t exchange Matt, she’s screwed. So Lauren will tell her to give back Newman Enterprises. After all, if she doesn’t, she could lose her freedom. “Matt Clark or no Matt Clark, I am never giving up,” Phyllis will reply.
At Society, Nikki will tell Jack she feels sick to her stomach to know that a man she’s loved her whole life is capable of such cruelty. Jack will say he’s so sorry. But Nikki will say he doesn’t need to apologize, he’s the victim in this whole thing.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Claire And Holden Turn Up The Heat
“Victor knows about your struggle with addiction and he’s seen me go through it,” she’ll add. “To have Patty slip you anything, it’s a slap in the face.” But then she’ll ask Jack if Patty was lying. “Is it possible Victor did not do all these things Patty said he did?”
Jack will say Victor is the same person he’s always been. And he’ll encourage Nikki to get her mind off things. But she’ll say she needs to stick around for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’s asked her to be his unofficial sponsor. Jack will say he’d be willing to be Nick’s official sponsor.
“You are an exceptional human being Jack Abbott,” Nikki will tell him. “You’re the dearest friend I know.” Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will return to the table and Nikki will thank Jack for opening her eyes and leave. Jack will tell Kyle he exaggerated a bit to Nikki. He’ll feel bad, but if it gets her to walk away from Victor for good, it’ll be worth it.
As for Nikki, she’ll end up at the GCAC and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will call her over to the bar. Nikki will proceed to complain about Victor. But Michael will say every time she defends Jack, she’s sticking a dagger through her husband’s heart.
In New York City, Holden and Claire will heat up. They’ll make out in his hotel room but he’ll get a text. Claire will say he needs to check it, it could be about his dad. Holden will say it’s from his mom, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) is ready for visitors. He’ll add he should probably go over to the hospital. But first, he’ll get hot and heavy with Claire and they’ll have sex.
Finally, Jack and Kyle will return home and there will be fresh flowers on a table. There’ll be a card with a message inside, from Patty. It’ll say she’s keeping her distance until he contacts her and she hopes soon he’ll have a reason to. “My God, what have I unleashed?” Jack will ask Kyle.

Enough with Matt Clark. It’s getting boring. He needs to go to jail forever. It is frustrating that Victor can get away with destroying Canes’s company and kidnaping Jack as well as all the other things he has done. Why doesn’t Jack bring charges against Victor for kidnapping and Cane bring charges against Victor for destroying his company.
